Basic RolePlaying Rules

Welcome to Boketsugakure!!!

Here are just some basic tips to Role Playing or RPing for those who are new to this

Any normal action your character does that is narrarated is done with normal text. Any though your character has uses italics. Anything your character says is done with "quotes". Any aside comment outside of character uses the abbreviation OOC: or OC:. Here is an example of a post...


Kuro quickly dashed through the hallway. Man, I'm late for class.... He quickly sprinted into the classroom, half-winded. "Sorry I'm late, I got lost..."
OOC: Did you create your character yet?


Some suggestions are...
-Try and make the post at least two lines
-Try and be as detailed as possible
-Try and be realistic, every once and a while in a fight a person gets hit, knocked out, or even killed. Realize your character's limitations

Also, I know Haruka mentioned it, but PLEASE KEEP YOUR POSTS AT LEAST 2 LINES. RP'ers want more, and they can't get it if you only do one sentence. It is so annoying when:


Lee kicked and he jumped. Then he ran over to Gaara to hit him.

NOOOOO.... This is better.

Lee gasped as he watched Gaara's sand shield rise up extremely fast to protect against Lee's Konoha Hurricane. "There must be another way! Maybe if I attack him that way.." With that thought, Lee ran as fast as he could in a circle around Gaara. Lee atempted many kicks, but none got through. Lee couldn't stop however, for Gai-sensei was watching. Jumping into the air, Lee landed a kick on Gaara's head.

See? Look how better that was.

I just brought this up, because It pisses me off when this happens.

AND DON'T GOD-MOD. I.E MAKE YOUR CHARACTER A GOD. NOT EVERY CHARACTER IS AS STRONG AS GAARA OR NARUTO. EVEN THEY GET HIT TOO. EVERYBODY LOSES ONCE AND A WHILE.
